Weinviertel Gourmet Cinema

The Weinviertel is the largest wine-growing region in Austria. Grüner Veltliner - is the parade grape variety and is known for its distinctive and popular "Pfefferl". 47 per cent of the vineyard area is planted with this special grape variety, which is typical of the region.

In addition to the classic variant, the Weinviertel DAC, the winegrowers will also be presenting strong Weinviertel DAC Reserves as well as other fine, fruity white wines from Welschriesling to robust Pinot Blanc on Monday, 8 April 2019 in Berlin. And multi-faceted and authentic red wines.

The Weinviertel and its winegrowers can be experienced in all their facets in various ways. At themed tables during speed dating, in specialised seminars for trade visitors and on WineWalks for interested wine connoisseurs.

This is the time for speed dating at the themed tables. Here professionals can get a quick and uncomplicated overview of the Weinviertel. The tasting focuses are:

WEINVIERTEL DAC: the real Grüner Veltliner.
WEINVIERTEL DAC Reserve: the powerful variety - the centrepiece of the winegrowers.
Off the beaten track: grape variety diversity and wines that stand out from the crowd.

How does the DAC system compare to the VDP principle of site classification? We offer an extremely exciting, informative and enjoyable hour in 4 blind flights with Weinviertel DAC, Weinviertel DAC Reserve and VDP Rieslings. Places are limited, therefore registration is required.

We serve finger food for the tasting as a flying buffet.
